PBI dashboard cycle
Please excuse if the question is very lame, we are beginners are trying to understand how PBI dashboard works.
1. User01 has a financial report on Excel.
2. PBI user "Get-Data", "Transforms-Data" etc from the excel file.
3. Generates the Dashboard
from this point on, where does the User01 inputs the new data? Does he continue using the excel file? do we need to get & transform data every week to update the financial report?
Appreciate if someone can explain what happens with updating the data after the dashboard is created? The user001 prefers to continue working on the excel file

Hi,
If you are using excel connector then I am afraid this is the case. However it is possible to use e.g. sharepoint or a similar source and modify the powerquery so that you are always using the latest data. E.g. if your filenames are standarzised you can use this to your advantage.psunith Check if this blog may help you.
