PBI Desktop Field Search, Create Column/Measure Really Slow

Question

Since the update last month, I noticed that PBI desktop field search, custom column or measure creation is slow and sometimes I have to try and create the column or measure second time as the first attempt dissapears for some odd reason. I had no other change on my laptop and completely closed all apps to see if it made any difference and no difference. Haven't had this issue before - been using the Desktop version regularly for nearly two years and installing regular updates.

And I tried with all sorts of data size...even the smallest size has the same issue with one table, less than 10 columns and 30 rows...

And boy the new version is CPU hungry...

Love this app so hopefully there will be a fix :-)

Oh I have tried all that. Reduced data rows, columns, but the slowness and the very annoying disappearance of custom column/measure creation is still there.

As I mentioned, this only started to happen since last month's update.
