P&L report- How to calculate the measure Gross Profit, Net income...

Dear All,

I'm learning how to build the P&L report. I have a Excel file with all data row detail for sales,material cost....

I created the matrix to show all the data there but some data like Gross Profit and Net income need to be calculation and put in the middle of the data.

Can you advice how to add it on the list or any solution for that ?

I saw it 1,2 time but i have concerns that my data don't have gross margin. So i need to create a measure and how to add it in the matrix table ?

why don't you define it in your excel sheet to show it as showing all the other fields.

Sorry for the late reply. I have the excel file with so many detail rows.

For example. I need to calculate Gross Magrin = sum of sales - ( material cost + energy cost )

Can you advice how to do it automatically when we update data in excel ?
