Hi,
I was wondering if it's possible to get an overview of users and their access to datasets, reports, dashboards etc? I've quite a lot of users using dashboards and reports and I've no real overview of what exactly they are accessing. Is this something that is possible via the api?
Thanks.
hey,
you can try the next:
Step 1: Go to your Power BI Service Workspace
Step 2: Select your model data options and select the manage access one, like this:
Them you will have access to see access by user and select other data models or report, dashboard etc to verify access. Plus, their access type:
Also, you can check the App access when you going to update it:

I'm not sure how to check the ad hoc sharing at a summary level (only per report/dashboard as per here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-share-dashboards#see-who-has-acc...) , but the access to workspaces is managed by the office 365 group membership, so you can check that in the Groups section of the Admin portal. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/create-groups/manage-groups?view=o365-worldwide

@amitchandak Thanks but that's more about usage metrics. I'm wondering who has access to dashboards, reports etc. Perhaps users that have left the company etc. Would be nice to know who has contributor, member access to specific reports, dashboards.
