Hi @Tuna357
Here are some common issues of Open Usage Metrics and their solutions:
Permissions:
Issue: You might not have the necessary permissions to view usage metrics.
Solution: Ensure that you have at least Contributor or Admin permissions on the workspace where the report is published.
Workspace Type:
Issue: Usage metrics are only available in Premium and Pro workspaces.
Solution: Verify that the report is published in a workspace that supports usage metrics.
Report is in a Shared Workspace:
Issue: If the report is in a shared workspace that does not support usage metrics, the option will not be available.
Solution: Move the report to a workspace that supports usage metrics.
Admin Settings:
Issue: The Power BI Admin might have disabled usage metrics in the Power BI service settings.
Solution: Contact your Power BI Admin to ensure that usage metrics are enabled in the Power BI Admin Portal.
Content Pack/Template Apps:
Issue: Usage metrics are not available for reports that are part of content packs or template apps.
Solution: Open the report directly from the workspace where it is published.
Licensing:
Issue: You might not have the required Power BI Pro license.
Solution: Ensure you have a Power BI Pro license or that the report is in a Power BI Premium workspace.
Technical Issues:
Issue: There could be a temporary issue with the Power BI service.
Solution: Check the Power BI Service Status page to see if there are any ongoing issues or outages. Sometimes, simply logging out and logging back in, or refreshing the browser can resolve the issue.
Newly Published Reports:
Issue: Sometimes newly published reports might take a little while before the usage metrics option becomes available.
Solution: Wait for a few minutes to an hour and then check again.
