One visual - 3 tables filtering wrong
Hi! I really appreciate what I get from reading this forum.
I'm fairly new to this. My problem: I have 3 tables (Inventory, Cost, Comments). I've set up relationships on unique ID's and i've set the Cross filter direction to [Both] connecting Cost to Inventory and Comments to Inventory. In a Table view it is only showing data that appears on all 3 tables. I need it to show blank values when they don't exist on one of the tables. In the case that there are no cost fields; If I remove the cost fields then the comment fields show against the inventory.
How can I make it act like an outer join on all 3 tables when I put them into a single view?
Thank you!
Hi,
Create a single column table of all unique id (Table named UID). Create relationships (Many to One and Single) from the ID column of each table to the UID table. To your visuals/filters/slicers, drag ID from the UID table.

Hi NyoGoat ,
If I understand correctly, the issue is that you want to filter three tables but have error. In order to make a deep troubleshooting, could you please provide more raw data(exclude sensitive data) with Text format or screenshot? It would be helpful to find out the solution.
