One date Slicer - Multiple Dates
Hi,
I have a fact table that contains multiple date columns with each row relating to an ID. The dates in the fact table can be group into smaller dimension tables e.g., Visit dates table, Letters Sent dates table etc. Howver, the issue am having is that if I create these extra dimension tables, how would I connect/link these tables to the fact table? I would need a date field in the fact table that would also need to take into account the dates in the dimension table right? I wouldnt be able to create a relationship via case ID. Am just not sure what the best way to go on about this would be. I have attach a small sample of some of the dates.
I can create a table with:
Date 1 Visits, Date 2 Visits, Date 3 Visits (but how would I be able to make a relatioship of this to the fact table and then create a slicer filter off it?)
I hope that all makes sense.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
The very first thing you want to do is unpivot that table to make it usable for Power BI.
