ORA-12170 error
Good afternoon everyone, I want to ask for your help with the following problem: after starting Power BI desktop and selecting SQL server (oracle) as the data source, I get an error Oracle:ORA-12170:TNS: Connect timeout occured. I tried to update the pbix file that was already ready - and again the ora-12170 error.
I tried to find a solution for this problem: I replaced the tnsnames.ora file in the oracle folder, installed the latest version of Oracle (19) - but none of this helped.
I was advised to give myself access to Power BI, through sql tables. But I don’t quite understand how this can be done. I ask for your help and advice.

As far as I know, SQL Server has a proprietary connector in Power BI. You can connect to SQL Server by SQL Server connector in Power BI directly instead of Oracle connector.
