OLE Timeout from Dataflow to Desktop

Hello,

I am having an issue with a timeout connecting to a dataflow in Power BI Desktop. Is there a similiar option for the Dataflow connector as the SQL connector adding an option for timeout duration. (I didn't see PowerBI.Dataflows in the documentation)

SQL Example with timeout:

Sql.Database("Server", "Database", "[Query=" Select * From...", CommandTimeout=#duration(0, 5, 0, 0)])

Where to place the timeout option in power query for a dataflow, if existing:

Source = PowerBI.Dataflows(null),

Thanks,

Paul

Hi @Anonymous ,

You could try to increase timeout when you create dataflow in service by your above M code to see whether it work or not. In addition, you also could refer to Dataflow-Timeout-issue  for moer suggestions. Or you also could create a ticket for this problem(https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/ )

The issue is that I do not know how to use that timeout function in the M script for a dataflow when importing into Power BI Desktop.

[Timeout=#duration(0, 5, 0, 0)]

Or [CommandTimeout=#duration(0, 5, 0, 0)]

Where would you put that into the standard auto-generating M script when importing from a dataflow?  Like Below:

let
Source = PowerBI.Dataflows(null),
#"----" = Source{[workspaceId="----"]}[Data],
#"----" = #"----"{[dataflowId="----"]}[Data],
DimDate1 = #"----"{[entity="DimDate"]}[Data]
in
DimDate1

(I removed the ID info)
