Number formatting: How to include a space between currency symbol and value in PowerBI Desktop?

Hi all,

I'm running into a strange thing in PowerBI Desktop table formatting. Since a few months the standard formatting of currencies seem to have changed. Currently, setting the format type to currency (using Modeling -> Formating -> Format) results in a number which has the currency symbol right in front of it. Before, the currency symbol would be followed by a space before the number value, which makes the number way better readable in my opinion. See the following example:

R$357.497,42 (currently)                      R$ 12.327,50 (before)

I cannot find a way to apply the 'before' formatting style to any number anymore.

How to customize the formatting to include the space in front of the number?

Hi,

You could create a custom format if you go into the model tab and select the column and change it to what you need by adding a space after the $ sign
