Number Format

Hi Community,

So this is really basic, but somehow I've not figured it out yet.

I want to present a percentage difference with a +/- prefix while retaining the number functionality (sort by value, conditional formating based on value, mathematical functions).

I've tried:

FORMAT([Policies Sold CYTD]/[Policies Sold PYTD]-1,"+#,##0.0%;-#,##0.0%") but this of course makes it a text field and I lose the functionality I need.

What am I missing here?

Many thanks,

Harry.

Hi @Greg_Deckler,

Unfortunately, a percentage value with a +/- prefix is not a supported numeric data type. Currently, you may have to set it to text field. Please submit a feature request at ideas page. Thanks for your feedback.

Using the standard Percent format, Modeling tab, Formatting area, Format | Percent, will get you everything except the + sign. Not sure how to do that.
