Not enough memory to create relationship

Hi all

I am trying to do a relationship (one to many) for a date field.

One table (date) contains the days of the year since 2017 (1194 rows) , and the other table (called query1) contains 830,000 rows with a column date.

 I got this message:

How can i fix this?

I'm with @parry2k that seems odd. How much memory do you have? You could try to turn off the automatic date hierarchy in File | Options and settings | Options. I have seen that blow up some data models because every date is unique.

Hi @Greg_Deckler 

The file size is 62 MB, I have the PBI pro version. In the end worked, by just doing the bridge from date to query (the heaviest table), instead of table to formula.

@o59393 very odd that sequence of relationship worked. I have never see this and I'm sure @Greg_Deckler will agree on this with me. Really odd and infact would like to learn more on this. seems one off corner case.

@o59393 wow never seen that. can you put these two tables in a seperate pbix , don't add any measure and try to create the relationship. 

Do you have many dax measures in this model?

It just worked, I did first the relationship from date to query1 first, and then from date to formula.
