Dear all,

we´re getting the below message while trying to load SAP BW Query data in Power BI.

Cube
The model doesn´t have a named expression named Cube.

Does anyone faced the same issue? Or what could be the reason behind this message?

Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael

After installing the newest Power BI "September 2021" version (so far "January 2021" version was used) the message "The model doesn´t have a named expression named Cube." no longer appears and BW data can be accessed again via Power BI as usual.

This worked for me, too! Thank you!

@Michael_Rau , in Option and Setting -> Option, under direct query, you have the option to treat SAP HANA as a relational source. Try that

@amitchandak, thank you for your response and for your proposal. I tried it out but it has NO positive effect. The error message is the same.

Thank you.

Michael

Positive effect or no effect?

thanks for the hint. Sorry I missed the "NO". The made setting has no effect.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem "The model doesn´t have a named expression named Cube" when trying to establish a DirectQuery to SAP BW. It does not work with any Cube I tested. Loading/importing works fine.

The check box "treat SAP HANA as a relational source" does not have any affect.

I am using Implementation 2.0 (with SAP .NET Connector 3.0).
