Hi Greg_Deckler ,thanks for the quick reply, I'll add further.
Hi Anonymous ,
Regarding your question, 'Total' has no filtering effect. Since you are also using the 'selectedvalue' function, the function returns null.
Try to modify your expression.
Measure = VAR _a = SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Date]) VAR _b = SWITCH(TRUE(), YEAR(_a) = 2024,SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Amount])) RETURN IF(ISBLANK(_a),CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[Amount]),YEAR('Table'[Date]) = 2024),_b)

May =
SWITCH (
TRUE (),
YEAR ( SELECTEDVALUE('Open Opportunities'[Est. close date]) ) = 2024, SELECTEDVALUE('Open Opportunities'[Estimated Revenue]),
0.00
)
By using this measure I am getting a $0 - Greg_DecklerCommunity Champion

This looks like a measure totals problem. Very common. See my post about it here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/DAX-Commands-and-Tips/Dealing-with-Measure-Totals/td-p/63376
