New format pane, not a fan.

Hope I'm not raining on any parades, but the new formatting pane seems to take twice as many clicks as before, and seems more confusing. The twirl control is still present, is still an extra clic...

The new format pane has really changed a lot.

If you need to turn off the preview, go to File > Options and settings > Options > Preview features > New Format pane.

We encourage you to give us feedback about why you're turning it off. Select Share feedback link next to the New format pane checkbox, and let us know.
