New Schema causing refresh of data to fail

The schema for one of our database table sources changed to include additional columns.  How/where do I go into the Power BI desktop solution to update the Editor so that it will just bring in the additional columns.  We do not care about them but we do not care if it brings them in.  Please help.

Hi @apbiuser

If you add columns in the data source, then click on "refresh" in Power query(Home->Transform data) or refresh in "Home",

it would update new added columns into Power bi and show on your tables.

But if you want to only update and show new added columns (lose the original all columns), it seems impossible in Power bi directly.

It may be possible with some workarounds.

If it is in this case, please let me so i will work to find a workaround.

Best Regards

@apbiuser you need to click on transform data, in power query, select the table and click refresh, and you will see the columns and once it is all there, close and apply and it will be loaded into the model.
