I have been searching and looking at calculated columns and LOOKUPVALUE; however, have not gotten anything to work like I am seeing.
I have two tables (Table1 & Table2).
Table1 is a table that shows the annual cost and daily cost within a date range; example below
Start End Product_Name No. of Units
1/1/2018 1/10/2018 Memory cards 3
1/11/2018 2/1/2018 Mouse 4
2/2/2018 null keyboard 5
Table2 is a table that shows the summary of data with TransactionDate like below
TransactionDate
1/1/2018
1/2/2018
.......
1/19/2018
I want to add two new columns to Table2, using the CreatedDate and pulling the Product_Name, No. of Units from Table1 when the CreatedDate is between the Start and End dates of Table1. If the CreatedDate is in between Start Date and the End Date, then it should take Daily Cost, No. of Units. Thanks in advance.
Hi @Hariharan_R (Hariharan),
Thank you for the prompt response. However, I viewed that thread already and in that the column desired is in number format for which aggregarion works.. In my case, I need the column of different format(text).
Hi @Anonymous
There is a similar thread here - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/New-Column-with-value-of-another-table-based-on-a-date-range/m-p/392824
Hope it will help!
Thanks
Hari
