Need to have proper date format in the slicer

Hello !

We have date format as below coming in Power Query:

When I select the date filter in the slicer, I see below format

We need to have format as 04/2023 i.e MM/yyyy.

Below things I have tried:

a. Added new column as Month Year. This appears as text and not as dates which can cause issue in data modelling.

b. When selecting Date Hirearchy in slicer, it fulfils the request but then I cannot change Date Slicer Name. Also it says full name instead of Month Number.

What dax/ Power Query setting is needed to have in format - MM/yyyy?
