Hi,
I have a power bi workspace that has an app deployed. Currently data export for that report is turned off. I need to be able to allow 2 users the ability to export from the report.
I thought one solution could be to change the tenant settings to disable export for everyone except those users, then leave the report allowing exports. I'm assuming the tenant level setting will override the report level setting and then only those users that are listed in the tenant setting will be able to export. IF this one works I would consider it but then it will stop other reports in the tenant from allowing exports too, where this might be useful, if not now then possibly in future.
If there is a way to disable export from the app, but allow from the workspace I am happy to grant those 2 users workspace access.
Another solution I thought of was to have duplicate report and give only those 2 users access to the report and allow export on that report, but it seems a bit messy?
What's the best way to do this?

Hi @tomi5 ,
//I'm assuming the tenant level setting will override the report level setting and then only those users that are listed in the tenant setting will be able to export.
Yes, this setting will be applied to the entire tenant.

It's a solution for now. This solution allows you to maintain the original report's settings without enabling data export for all users, while also providing a controlled environment for the two specified users to export data as needed. It avoids the complexities and potential broader impacts of tenant-level changes.
