Need help with removing apostrophe while from data

Hi,

I am importing a .csv file with a few columns that contain an apostrophe. These special characters are available at the source hence I need your help with the following 2 points.

1. What is the easiest & a sustainable way to remove apostrophes from the fact table?

2. Is importing data from a .csv file recommended?  as this is the first time I am importing data from a .csv file

1. Once load the data, please refer the below steps :
In the Power Query Editor, select the column(s) that contain apostrophes.

  • Use the "Replace Values" feature:
    • Right-click on the column header and select "Replace Values."
    • In the dialog box, enter the apostrophe (') in the "Value to Find" field and leave the "Replace With" field empty.
    • Click "OK" to apply the changes.

Hi @AmeenVanakar

The solution  @Irwan  provided you can give it a try but here is more optimized one
1. Simply go to powerquery by clicking on -> transform data tab and -> than under the add column use -> Column by example to have a new column based on your existing one but with removed aposhtrophe
For reference follow https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-a-column-from-an-example-power-query-cd82c570-8da7-4d...

2. Yes it is good to use cv=sv files as  It's widely used for data management due to its simplicity and compatibility with various software applications, making it ideal for data exchange

If this post helps, then please consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.
Happy to help!
