I have PBI Desktop from May 2022 on Windows Server 2019.
I'm looking for a date format like "MMM YYYY" in the FORMAT Function, but I cannot use the FORMAT function. I need to use the date format in the dropdown box like this screenshot because I need to use 1 month bins in matrix columns to show monthly sums.
There is the longer format like "MMMM YYYY" which produces "January 2021" but I need the shorter format like "MMM YYYY" which produces "Jan 2021". Is this available in PBI now or does it need to be added?
Thank you.

@croberts21 , just type it there in that box(Format). But you might have all m or y in small caps

Ok I to it to work. This is a very unreliable process but here's what worked: I typed in "mmm yyyy" then hit tab. Using the exact case for "mmm yyyy" and hitting tab seems to work more often. Thanks!
I tried typing in "mmm yyyy" but PBI forced it to "Mmm yyyy", I hit enter, and the months did not change.
I also tried "MMM YYYY" and hit enter, and the month names did not change. "June 2021" should change to "Jun 2021", and "August 2021" should change to "Aug 2021".
