Hello,
I want to show a trend of sales, using matrix visualizations, say of last x months or based on the user selection, But the issue is the latest months shows on the right hand side alongwith the total next to it, I wanted to show it at the start . Thank you all in advance. Warm Regards.

According to your description, here are my steps you can follow as a solution.
(1) This is my test data.
(2) We can enter data.
| Month-Year | Index |
| Mar-23 | 14 |
| Apr-23 | 13 |
| May-23 | 12 |
| Jun-23 | 11 |
| Jul-23 | 10 |
| Aug-23 | 9 |
| Sep-23 | 8 |
| Oct-23 | 7 |
| Nov-23 | 6 |
| Dec-23 | 5 |
| Jan-24 | 4 |
| Feb-24 | 3 |
| Mar-24 | 2 |
| Apr-24 | 1 |
(3) We can then create a model relationship.
(4) Select Table 2, select the [Month-Year] column, and select Sort by the Indexed Column.
(5) Create the matrix as shown below.
