My report pages are gone after changing live connection to directquery

I have created a report that is live connected to a semantic model hosted in the Power BI service.

I am trying to add a local model. In effect, the connection to the semantic model is turned into a directquery and I can "add a local model".

However, when I am chaning this connection type, all my report pages are removed from the Power BI desktop file.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

This is an issue on the February release of Power BI Desktop. The simplest work around would be to try using one of the previous versions, there is an archive here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/fundamentals/desktop-latest-update-archive?tabs=powerbi-d... under "Select the following links to download this earlier version:"
