Hi all,
I am working on a team and we are all working on different projects. Currently, we have a few different data models/sets as shown in the attached picture.
There is an Employee ID column across all the datasets so we are hoping to join it all based on the Employee ID and build dashboards involving all aspects. Is this possible to bring together all the datasets and join on a single field? If so, how?
Also, if we talk about key fields we need from each dataset is there a way to remove all other fields so that when we do connect it all together we don't have an overwhelming amount of data.
Any insight would be appreciated! Thank you all!
Hi @Anonymous ,
Unfortunately, for now, even if you fix the entire report page containing the slicer to the dashboard by selecting "Pin Live Page", you can only filter the tile, not the entire dashboard.

Ok. I need to be able to use at least 1-2 filters though once I pin items on the dashboard. Maybe not possible with what I'm trying to do then.
Thank you for your response!

Hi @Anonymous ,
In Power Bi service, you can create multi reports by the same dataset, However you cannot create one report by using different dataset. One way to work around, creating dashboard could combine different visuals from different reports. Also you can connect to all the data sources of different datasets and import the data by Power BI desktop, then you can use all the data.
