Hi,
I have a scenario with One scatter plot visualization with default tooltip enable. Now my requirement is instaed of mouse hoover tooltip, when I click on the value it should display the tooltip. I need to highlight the selected value (based on mouse click) in different color. Is there any options available in Power BI? Button and Bookmarks won't feasible to my requirement, since I need to display the scatter plot values by click. Suggest me any possible workarounds which should not affect my existing visualization.

Hii @Guru_BI
Power BI cannot modify the default tooltip behaviour.
Tooltips in all native visuals, including scatter plots, work only on hover and cannot be triggered by click, and the selected point also cannot show a tooltip on click or change tooltip trigger mode.
So the behaviour you want is not possible with current Power BI features.
Hi @Guru_BI
There is no built-in option to remove the hover behavior and make the tooltip enable only on click.
As a workaround, you can create a tooltip panel using a button and bookmarks to display the selection as shown below. However, the limitation is that it will be fixed in one place, you won’t be able to position it close to the selected item.
I have attached the sample pbix file I have created for your reference
