Hi,
I am new to Power BI and trying to learn using some tutorials Power BI Desktop.
For some reason, in the Report, when I select a table and want to make adjustments to some fields (format, short,...) I realise that the options shown in the Modelling ribbon are different in my version of Power BI (downloaded this week) vs. what I see in the tutorials (e.g. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-sort-by-column).
In my Modelling ribbon, I don't see the options to "Sort", "Formatting" and "Properties". I only see "Relationships", "Calculations", "What if", "Security", and "Q&A".
Any ideas why that's the case?
Thanks a lot in advance!
This is an old thread, but it's still a question being asked quite often.
If you're in the Modelling View, and you choose the desired field you'd like to change the "Sort By" for and you can't find it in the Ribbon view at the top of the page, then chances are you have the Data Sidebar opened, but not the Properties Side-bar!?
Open the Properties side-bar, then expand Advanced. It'll be there.
Hi @pbrutllant ,
You'll see that in the Tools...
