Modelling relationship issue

I am getting a wierd power bi desktop modelling error when connecting with multiples tables. Has there been a recent update or so. Looks so wierd an issue.

Hi @dennydavis,

Yes, current power bi does not allow you to use both two side table fields without aggregated.

You can use left-table and right-table fields at the same time but one of them needs to be summarized, or it will display the notification message about 'can't determine the relationship between two or more fields' error.

Hi Tahreem, when I am using the columns of the master and one of the child, it comes fine, but when i choose the master and use both the childs together, I get an error which says "there is no relationship between tables". But there is for sure a star relation as shown above. So why cannot i get the data from the "owner" along with "job" and "children" tables.

Hi @dennydavis,

In my memory, it seems to work in previous. (power bi will cross join them based on bridge relationship)
I not so sure when power bi removed multiple many side fields mapping. (maybe it has been removed after 'M to M' relationship GA)
