    Wheter the cardinality in the dropdown is listed as Many to one (*:1) or One to many (1:*) just has to do with the order they are selected above.  If you swap the order the cardinality has to be changed to.

    Either way, the relationship looks like this.

jdbuchanan71, thanks for the clarification. What you said seems to be correct. However, I have noticed that once you click OK button in the (1:*) relationship, the 2nd picture in your example, and when I reopen it, the notation switches back to (*:1) relationship. It looks like the drop down and the saved relationship default to (*:1) notation.
