Missing Trend line in visualization

The trend line not showing all dates is an issue that needs to be sorted.... there is no option to keep the formatting of the date range you want, and always defaults to something like: "Jan 2019 - Apr 2019 - Jun 2019 - Aug 2019", instead of  "Jan 2019 - Feb 2019 - Mar 2019 - Apr 2019 - May 2019 - Jun 2019 - Jul 2019 - Aug 2019" OR any other date combination.... you can do that in Excel, just not in the Power Bi visual where a "trend line" is required, also this option only shows when you have your Dates as Continuous... if you choose categorical the trend line option disappears.... ive spent hours trying to sort this out - its just not possible using Power Bi in its current iteration (latest as of this post)
