Hey Guys,
I will be working soon on the migration project from Qlik to Power BI for 250 reports.
Just had some general questions
1. Do we have a tool to migrate or do we need to build from scratch in Power BI?
2. Are there any pre-requisites we need to take care of while the process is going?
3. Any inputs from your experience or any documentation will be helpful!
Thanks

Hey @NimaiAhluwalia ,
Qlik has a totally different approach than Power BI. I'm afraid there is no tool that will help you to migrate reports.
If you're lucky you did the data preparation in the data source and connect with Qlik to real Fact- and Dimensional Tables. If you did the data preparation within Qlik, then you have to analyze what it's doing and try to rebuild that either in the data source or in Power BI.
So concerning your questions:
1. As far as I know there is no tool. But I found that one here, check if that would help you:
Qlik to Power BI Migration: 4-Wk Implementation – Microsoft AppSource
2. You have to migrate and at one point you will do the switch from Qlik to Power BI if that was the question.
3. You really have to go through every report and rebuild it manually in Power BI.
I can see you posted this question a few years back. While I am sure you have successfully completed your task, I would like to suggest a tool that is useful in today’s scenario. The name of the tool that will help to migrate Qlik to Power BI is Qlik to Power BI Migration Utility.
Here, the migration takes place in 3 steps. It automate the migration of Qlik assets to Power BI and publishes in fabric workplace. Moreover, this migration utility will save 60-80% of you time and money.

Hi @NimaiAhluwalia - I noticed you posted about needing to migrate ~250 Qlik apps to Power BI a few years back. While I imagine you are done with that journey, wanted to make you aware of Axis Group and our AI-driven automated tool called Vortex. Would love for you to check it out and if you want to learn more, simply submit a Contact Us request on the website www.AxisGroup.com

Andrew

Hi There,
I could see that you have shared a link which will be helpful, but this was way back in 2021 ... is there any tool today which we can use to convert the same. Thansk!
Yes - Vortex from Axis Group will automatically convert Qlik Sense or QlikView apps and data to Power BI, using AI and automation—70% of the hard stuff is handled automatically, and you get recipes and instructions to finish the rest.
Hi,
Hi Amit,
Can you help me to convert below qlik to power bi dax
(Count(DISTINCT if(WildMatch(AGGR(distinct CONCAT(distinct [Group ],','),Progress,Grade,ID),'First'),ID))/Count(DISTINCT{<[Group] = {'First,'NotNotFirst'}>}ID),0)
It will be helpful for me
Thanks in advance
