Hi,
I have a Gantt chart over a number of projects. The problem is that is does not show all projects, but when I filter for the project that is not shown it appears. In short: Without filtering not all projects are shown, but when filtering for the one not displayed it shows it.
Is there a bug or am I doing somehting wrong? The project not shown when not filtering has all rewuired data (since it is shown when I filter for it). In the non-filtered setting there are 22 projects shown, with maximum 2 bars per project. Are there any limitations here?
The legend is "Project info", Task is "Role" (which can be one of two alternatives), Parent is "Name" (of project member). Per row there are only one activity (bar).
@johnbasha33,
Thanks for the reply. The paradox is that if I export the data from the report there are 23 projects, but in the Gantt chart there's only 22 shown. As I have a maximum of two bars shown per project I doubt it is a limit issue. I have double checked numerous times. All data is in the table. Where can I see if the visual has a row limit?
I don't know how to do that. FYI, I just tested with limiting the number of data rows in order to see if I hit som sort of limit. But, the project in question still does not show up...
@Siduna
It seems like the Gantt chart might be hitting a display limit, which is why not all projects are showing up. When you filter, fewer data points are displayed, allowing the missing project to appear. This could also be related to incomplete data—double-check that all required fields (like Project info
, Role
, and Name
) are properly filled in for the project that's not showing. Additionally, check if the visual has a row limit or if bars are overlapping and getting hidden. Resizing the chart or switching to another Gantt chart visual might help.
