Microsoft Authenticator Authentication Failed

Good evening everyone,

I use the Microsoft Authenticator app to log into my Power Bi Services accounts

I ended up deleting the account I use from the app and that's why I can't log into the platform

And when I try to add the account in the app, it goes into a loop asking for authorization by the app itself

I have a lot of projects in this account and I can't lose access, I don't know what else to do to recover this account

Please help me

@You_Lose  Your tenant admin should be able to help with this by adding a number or enabling an alternate method for you to access the account in order to reinstate the authenticator.

I'm in the same situation.... How do you apply?

@AllisonKennedy's response above "Your tenant admin should be able to help with this by adding a number or enabling an alternate method for you to access the account in order to reinstate the authenticator."   Please open a service request with your internal support folks for this issue.

I am the tenant manager.... I can't do it because I just can't log in...... How is it solved?

HI @You_Lose,

I think you need to enter the security mange center or contact your admin/manager to help approve the request about other methods about MS authorization to allow you to use these methods re-activate the MS authorization app.

I am the admin/manager. And i m unable to access to my powerbi account to change a verification method because of the authenticator app. What can I do in this case?

Are you the Global Administrator for you organization?  Open a ticket with Microsoft Support to begin account recovery.

  • @AllisonKennedy  I am the only admin and the only user! And after filling in an email and a password I am asked to fill in a code from an authanticator app.
  • And the account in the app stopped showing codes and stopped being clickable. So deleted it. After that I tried to recreate it, but during recreation the authanticator app asks me show a code from the authanticator app. And I cannot show the code from the app, because there this account is not in the app...I am creating it!
  • I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. PLEASE HELP ME.

Having the same problem!! I'm very close to lose my mind. Please help

The same thing is happening to me. The professional account is mine and I turned it into Admin verifying through the codes offered by Power BI for the domain. I don't understand that I have to do to ponder getting out of that loop.

I've been like this for days. And there's no way to talk to someone from Microsoft support.

Yes. You need to contact a commercial support team. They will manually remove an authanticator app from the two factor authorisation. 

 

It is the only way.
