Hi,
I have enabled the preview of "Metric Sets" within Power BI Desktop. I have created a metric set in the service where I highlight a HR KPI and several HR related dimensions. When I connect to the Metric set from Desktop it pulls through all measures and dimensions from the Semantic Model. What are the timescales in getting this feature working properly in the data pane where you can limit what users see?
Thanks
Chris

Currently, when connecting to a Metric Set in Power BI Desktop, the data pane displays the entire semantic model, including all measures and dimensions. Future updates aim to restrict the data pane to show only the metric and its associated dimensions, providing a more controlled exploration experience.
As this feature is in preview, specific timelines for these enhancements haven't been announced. For the latest updates, please refer to the official Power BI blog.

This feature still seems to load the entire model. Appears to be the same functionality as if the user were to just build a report off a shared model, which we could already do. How are metric sets supposed to be used and are they still in development?
