Dear All,
Need some help with merge two different data sources as seen below into one singular table for analysis purpose.
In short, the differences between 1 and 2 are such that they have different schemas, and for Source 2 in particular, the amounts are split into a more granular by cost types i.e. Cost 1 to Cost 6.
For instance, Data Source 1 10004ABCDE has a total amount of $4,000.00; and Data Source 2's amounts will also add up to $4,000.00.
As I need to consolidate both data sources so that I can pull the fields/measures from just a singular database. How do I go about having Data Source (1+2) as seen on the far right? Also, there is another problem of duplication because the third table on the right will result in a total of $8,000.00 - is there a way to remove the double count?
Thank you.
@Starstorm , Merge in Power query should help
Or may be one merge and then append

Thank you, but is there a way just solely to be performed without using a power query?
How does merge and append resolve the duplication?
