Merge

Power BI reporting is connecting to analysis services data model . I have been using the merge option in Analysis services to bring  few fields in to one of the table.

now, the merge is no longer required . I have deleted merge queries in analysis services ( path is : Table-> Table Properties ->Design->Power Query editor). but, when I reopen the table again it showing the merge queries.

was there any issue with configuration?

Hi @Anonymous ,

I don't understand clearly. Can I ask some questions?

  • You connect AS to Power BI.

What the connection mode do you use? Import mode or Live connection?

  • You have deleted the merge table. However you still can view it.

Do you merge tables in AS? And you delete the merged table and still can view it in Power BI. Right? if so, do you try to refresh manually? Can it refresh successfully? If no, is there any error message?

Or you merge and delete all in Power Query Editor. But you still can view the merge query in it. If you are in this situation, can you please share a few screenshots? I can't reproduce it. The screenshots can help us to understand clearly.

Best Regards,
Xue Ding
