Hi all!
So I'm trying to replicate the following table/matrix in PowerBI:
I created some random data just as an exmple. The goal is to display this multi-column aspect (in orange/blue) and 2 unique indexed columns (in green). I didn't have any success so far, can somebody please help me? I don't know how I need to manipulate the data in order to be in the right format to use in PowerBI. So, basically, my question is which format should I get the data and how to create a table/matrix in PowerBI that looks like this table.
Below, the data from this random example:
Index1 Index2 Col1 Col2 Value
| A | Ronaldo | US | Red | 1 |
| A | Ronaldo | US | Green | 2 |
| A | Ronaldo | US | Blue | 3 |
| A | Ronaldo | Euro | Red | 4 |
| A | Ronaldo | Euro | Green | 5 |
| A | Ronaldo | Euro | Blue | 6 |
| B | Messi | US | Red | 7 |
| B | Messi | US | Green | 8 |
| B | Messi | US | Blue | 9 |
| B | Messi | Euro | Red | 10 |
| B | Messi | Euro | Green | 11 |
| B | Messi | Euro | Blue | 12 |
Thanks! Any help would be highly appreciated!

This is the best you can do with standard methods
It is not possible to use the green, blue and orange header backgrounds. You would need to use custom visuals for that.
Perfect! But how did you accomplish that? Did you changed the input format? And how did you configured that on the PowerBI Matrix?
didn't change the input. Matrix is configured as "Tabular" format without totals.
Maybe this option isn't available on my PWBI version? This is the closest that I could get:
The layout preset isn't showing
which version are you using?
January 2024
I think the UI change was somewhere in June.
