Matrix visual flatten the rows

Hi ,

I am using Matrix visual to show my report. If I add the required columns from Source table , they go in a heirarchy forming a tree structure. I want to flatten this as show as a single line. Is it  possible ?

Secondly is there a way to make a row value of type Weburl . I can see that option in Table but not in Matrix visual.

Thanks

Try turning off Stepped layout in the format tab of your visualization pane under Row headers and see if it's the behavior you are looking for:

For your second question: This is a bit hidden, but you can apply this to the field itself so it's allows treated as a web URL.

  1. Go to the model view:

  2. Click your field in the field list on the right.
  3. Open the Properties pane if it is collapsed. Then scroll down to Advanced. You're looking for a drop down called Data Category:

  4. Select Web URL from the list. Now the field will default to using this data type.
