Hello,
I'm looking for a solution for the following problem:
When I'm using the matrix tool and I have defined that the columns are Company (i.e.: Company A & B) and year (i.e.: 2017 & 2018), then I want a endtotal colum which shows the endtotal per year. Thus total amount Company A + B for 2017 as a totalcolum and Company A + B for 2018 as a totalcolum. Currently I only get a total column (see below).
In a pivot table in Excel this is a standard option.
@johnkoster,
Create the Matrix visual following steps as below.
Regards,
Lydia
Thanks for you explaination. Unfortunately this is not what I want.
I would like to have column Total which summarizes by year. Example see below (created in Excel):
@johnkoster,
It is not possible to create exact same Matrix visual as Excel in Power BI Desktop. You may need to sumit an idea in Power BI ideas forum.
The Martix I provide also display A+B data for 2017 and 2018, it only displays the data in a different format.
Regards,
Lydia
Thanks. The solution presented by you I already tried. That isn't format I wish to present the numbers. I posted this a new idea.
