Matrix displayed with all row groups collapsed by default

Hi,

I have a matrix with 6 row groups and no column group. By default when I open the Power BI report, the matrix is displayed with all groups expanded.

I would like it displays fully collapsed by default without having to do each time a right click then Collapse All.

I looked for properties but did not find anything concluant.

Do you know how to achieve that?

Thank you very much.

Sylvain

@Sylvain74 , When a matrix visual is created by default it in all collapse mode. Save it there you should get it like that. Check the Stepped layout is on.

Hi Amitchandak,

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. Actually when the report is deployed, the matrix keeps the last saved status meaning if it was fully collapsed, then it will appear fully collapsed.

It 's quite really simple.

Thanks for link to "7 secrets of the matrix visual"!
