Matrix column width and column chart width

Does anyone know if I can force the column width in a matrix visual work the same way that a column in a column chart when filtered (or vice versa)?

In a matrix visual, if the matrix width is larger than the sum of the width of all the columns, the columns's width is not automatically ajusted to fulfill the matrix width. In a column chart, it works diferently. The column width is always resized dependind on the number of columns in the chart, taking up all the width of the chart.

My intention is to make the situation in the second image work:
