Matrix Visualization - Drillthrough Not working on Total
Dear Team,
I am not able to drill through on the total of the grand total line but I can drill through on all the other values on the grand total line.
I was seeing there were some power bi issues with this in March. Please see my two attached screenshots displaying the issue.
Has anyone solved this?
Hi Anonymous ,
Based on my test, I have concluded the following points when using Drillthrough in Matrix visual:
1. To drillthrough columns total or rows total, you should set corresponding fields in drillthrough filters. For example, the row is group and the column is region now so if I want to drillthrogh both of totals, I should put these fields in filters:
row and columndrillthrough filters
row drillcolumn drill
2. Also, when we use drillthrough, we should set 'Allow drillthrough when' as 'Used as a category' instead of 'Summarized' in drillthrough filters:
In coclusion, if we want to use drillthrough, we should set corresponding field in filters first. As for the total in the right corner of the matrix, since there has no field matchs it so it could not drillthrough.
For more information about drillthrough, you can refer microsoft document: Drillthrough

I don't understand why this is marked as an accepted solution, when the person explicitly states that it does not achieve OP's desired outcome. They simply state it cannot be done, but I fail to see how thats a solution to OP's problem.
