Matrix Visual - View Data Point As Table

Hello ! 

I have a Matrix visual plotting count of deals by type of deal.

I am able to view each of the rows using the "Show data point as a table" function, however this function does not work when attempting to view the total row. The option appears & is selectable, but no summary table is displayed. 

For example, using the matrix in the picture provided, I am able to view the 'Purchase' & 'Pre-Pay" categories as separate tables, containing (4) & (2) records respectively. However, I am unable to use the same functionality to view (6) total record

Neither of these fields are measures (specified as I have seen that this is often a cause of similar issues).

I am unable to share sample data, as it is priveleged.
