Matrix Table memory limitation

Hello,

I've read in the forum that Matrix table have a limit to 1Go of memory.

 

Is this limit true and still applying today ?

Will this limits still apply in big PowerBI Cloud hosting ?

Is there any way to parameter PowerBI to extend this limit ? (I'm thinking for PowerBI Desktop or in Cloud) ?

There are the following limitations for Matrix:

Additionally, you might consider using a 64-bit version of Power BI, which will allow you to use more memory:

Because metrix are calculated dynamically, they consume the processing power of the CPU and also consume temporary memory, so when the number of columns or rows in a matrix/table exceeds the limit, the memory limit is exceeded. As you can see in the following blog, how matrix consume memory to the point that there is this memory limit:
