Matrix Table - Subtotal VS Grand Total Issue!

I have created a matrix table with 3 fields under row, 1 field under columns and then values.  I am trying to achieve the look of the tabular format from excel in this matrix.  I have removed the stepped layout and trying to just have the grand total at the bottom calculating for each of the columns BUT in order to have that I have to have the individual subtotals on.  I created a hierarchy group for the fields under my rows and it works if I only have 2 fields but as soon as I add a third field it adds the subtotals back in.  Is there any workaround?  I have been trying to figure this out and I am stuck.

I want to maintain each of the fields under rows in that tabular format or having their own individual colulmn while ONLY subtotaling the year columns.  Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi @SLONG0718 ,

You can follow the steps below to get it:

1. Navigate to Format pane

2. Find the option "Row subtotals", toggle off the option "Show subtotal" for the row level "Basis of Financials"

@SLONG0718 First, please vote for this idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=082203f1-594f-4ba7-ac87-bb91096c742e

This looks like a measure totals problem. Very common. See my post about it here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/DAX-Commands-and-Tips/Dealing-with-Measure-Totals/td-p/63376

Also, this Quick Measure, Measure Totals, The Final Word should get you what you need:
