Matrix, Row headers, Stepped layout feature not working

Hello Power BI Community,&nbsp;I have a matrix...and under Format...&nbsp; Row headers...&nbsp; I turn Stepped layout OFF...And yet...&nbsp; the stepped layout remains in the matrix.&nbsp;I downloaded the latest version of Power BI and restarted my machine.&nbsp; Didn't make a difference.&nbsp;When I toggle Stepped layout between On and Off...&nbsp; I see it flash...&nbsp; but it always remains on.&nbsp;Thoughts on this issue?&nbsp; It seems like a bug.&nbsp;Thank you.&nbsp; mibu

Hi,Turning off stepped just means you remove the heading and the indentation of the row headers, it will still present the data as a matrix. It's basically a pivot table. Stepped: ON is like the Compact Report layout, and Stepped: OFF is like Tabular Form layout.&nbsp;If you want to show values in every cell of the row, you need to use a&nbsp;table visual.&nbsp;A Matrix will also only give you the scroll bar for the COLUMNS/VALUE piece, not the ROWS.&nbsp;If you need to have a table w/ a measure broken out into columns, you'll need to create individual measures for each column you want.

hi,&nbsp;mibu&nbsp;I have tested on my side, It works well.Stepped layout&nbsp;is work for&nbsp;hierarchy of values in RowsFor examplewhen I turn&nbsp;Stepped layout&nbsp;OFFBe care for the&nbsp;difference between these two&nbsp;screenshots.&nbsp;Best Regards,Lin

Since this is still open, I am facing an issue with the Stepped Layout turned off as well, I have more than 10 columns in this matrix but the scrollbar is not showing to navigate to the last columns, is this expected behavior?
