Hi - new to PBI and looking for some guidance on how to sort columns in a matrix. Pulling back data from sql server for retirees. I extract the year, month and month index from a datetime where month is the name. After creating the matrix i have the rows as year then retirement type and month as the column but April is coming first which makes sense. Problem I'm having is when I highlight the month index column and click modeling tab and sort by month index PBI desktop looks like it's re-sorting but data stays the same with April first. Any ideas how to gete around this?
Many Thanks!

I was able to figure this out. I needed to highligh the actual Month Name, then click sort by Month Index then it sorted as I needed it to.
