I have created a report that looks at Sales By Shipping Postal Code By Rep.
If I have the year and a month select (May) - but no reps selected (just default to all) - My map visual looks like this:
WITH Month Filter
If I DESELECT the Month and want to see Sales for the whole year for all reps - the visual changes and looks like this:
ONLY Year Filter - all reps and all months
IT looks as if there are NO sales in the middle of the US or the West Coast when in actuall

Hi there,
We had the same experience with plotting data on a map, when we filtered the data the map was ok and we saw the right values at the right place, but when we did not filter the data there were less data.
the unfiltered set consists of 8000 items.
It looks like there is a problem with showing larger data sets on the map visual.

Can you post some sample data? How many tables are you using and how are they related?
I created just a small test file and seems to work fine for me...
@Sean - Sure! Here's some Copy and Paste Data: ( I had to change sales rep name to their number).

And here's a screen shot sample of the data I'm using:
@heathernicole What date field do you use for the Slicers is in a Calendar table?
There must also be a date for each sales line?
@Sean - Slicers from Calendar Table
Every Sales Item is tied to a Transaction Date - there's a relationship between the Sales Details Table and the Calendar - Transaction Table.
Here's the same data with the Transaction Date added to the Grid -
@heathernicole I can't duplicate this.
Tries all slicers - clear - select - clear - select - No issues!
hmmm... ok. I'll try a couple of other things..
Hey! I haven't been able to work on it today - I had to work in my other position today so I haven't had time to troubleshoot that anymore. I probably won't be able to get to it until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, unfortunately. 😞
Thank you for checking in!
@heathernicole One thing we didn't discuss was what fields are you plotting?
Here's what I plotted with the data (ZipCode - I changed the name of the column because it was too long)
Just for your reference whenever you get to it...
