Hi All,

There is a requirement to create a map in power bi with GIF animated marker

Is there any way we can implement this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Arwa_1122 You could try using Custom visual MapBox and try it out and see if it fits your requirement or go for third party tools or you could try creating an animated map with some exteranl tools and then embed with HTML i guess

Thank you, @Akash_Varuna , for your response.

Hi Arwa_1122,

We appreciate your query on the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Based on our understanding, Power BI currently does not support the use of GIF-animated markers on maps directly.

In addition to the response provided by @Akash_Varuna , we suggest the following workaround which may help address the issue:

  1. Use the Play Axis visual to simulate marker movement over time by utilising a time dimension.
