Manage a parameter with a button

Hi,

I am doing a report in which the data is given by SQL queries at a certain date. But I wanted to make it possible to change this date and so to change the data.

Therefore I created a Date Parameter : the user writes the date and the SQL queries are updated at this date.

I would like to know if it is possible to add a button to my report that is linked to this parameter and with which the user could change the date (once the report is published if possible).

Best,

Martin.

  • It’s not possible with a button in power BI. But you could do somoething from within Power query with a parameter. Also from power BI you can change a parameter too. But why no toad all the data. Compression and performance is great, so why not load all the data and then slice and dice to your heart’s content?
