Hello,
I'm trying to create some way of visualizing the status of projects and tasks of projects in PWA. I'm using the 'Project Online Power BI Template App' template from github.
I noticed the newer versions of the MS Project Power Bi templates have this status icon but I can't figure out how to incorporate this into the older template. I prefer the older template becuase it includes all of the reports I need to have.
Appreciate if anyone has suggestions on how to add this capability.
Thanks
JT
@Anonymous Any updates?
Hi, I'm currently on leave and out of the office until Jan 3 so I will need to try your suggestions then. Apologies for the delay.
Thanks
JT
Hi, @Anonymous
Are you talking about this icon?
Since I don't know which template you are using, and I don't have a suitable data source to connect to, it is difficult for me to know your thoughts in detail.
Did you download the template through this link?
GitHub - OfficeDev/Project-Power-BI-Templates: Expand Project with a Power BI Template
If possible, please take a screenshot of the visual you need and provide more information. Secondly, the visual can be copied and pasted. It doesn't matter if the fields are different. Putting the same type of fields can display normally. There maybe no one-time-and-for-all method. I will help you just to see if there is a workaround.
Did I answer your question ? Please mark my reply as solution. Thank you very much.
If you still need help, please feel free to ask me.

Hi, @Anonymous
Have you tried downloading the template to desktop? If it's possible, you can copy the visual to another report.
Can you take a screenshot to share what this icon looks like?

Hi Janey,
Thanks for your reply. I've tried copying over the report from the other template file but it is structured differently and the fields don't match so I don't think a straight copy/paste is going to work in this situation. The issue is the newer templates are structured completely different so I can't figure out how to replicate the report because the fields are all different.
Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.
Thanks
JT
